This update is a little bit overdue, but a few things:
Pre-production has been finished for a few weeks
We've had our first rehearsal session to prepare for recording - fun fact, this was the first time in 18 years that Phillip and Josh have played together!
We have two more rehearsal sessions before we record in September at none other than The Pale Moon Ranch!
This album has been quite the journey. To start, apollo:sent began in 2005 in a basement in Reno, NV. We had about 6 songs that were finished, played a few shows, tried our hand at some (not so good) recordings, but never released anything at the time. We had called it quits in 2008.
Fast forward to 2015, when Josh got the itch to write for apollo:sent again. Yes, that is correct - this album has taken almost 10 years to write! As fate would have it, in 2023 Josh re-joined the scattering - a Reno hardcore/metal/punk band (who are awesome, if I do say so myself), where he was fortunate enough to meet Billy Romeo of The Lumberyard Studio through recording the scattering's EP (soon to be released) titled Now We All Burn. This was the kick in the rear to get serious about recording and releasing the apollo:sent album. With 10 songs written, it's about damn time.
We are so stoked to release this out into the world for all to hear!
